2016 NA3HL Draft Information

As the days are moving towards the 2016 – 2017 season, the Bulls enter the next phase of building the team’s roster with the 2016 NA3HL draft tomorrow. Before the draft gets underway, here are some things to keep in mind.
 

Players who are eligible for the NA3HL daft are amateur players who will be less than 21 years of age on December 31st of the upcoming season and who are not listed on an NA3HL Club’s roster, or are listed on an NA3HL Club's roster but played less than 10 NA3HL regular season and /or playoff games during the previous season and did not accept a tender from an NA3HL team prior to the NA3HL Entry Draft, are eligible for selection.
 

NA3HL Clubs shall make selections in each round in reverse order of their finish in the regular season standings. New NA3HL teams entering from other junior leagues have been slotted in according to their previous season’s win percentage. Expansion franchises have been awarded the top two picks in each round.

After a season that was considered a building year, the Bulls will select 13th in this year’s draft. Heading into the draft, the Bulls have 9 picks after tendering 12 players. The Bulls expect to have no less than 13 veterans reporting back to the team. With all of this being said, trades can occur during the draft, so follow along in case draft order changes.

Head Coach Michael Richardson, along with assistant coach Trent Ritchie, have been hard at work recruiting and scouting potential draft picks. The ultimate aspiration for the Bulls staff is claiming the first Silver Cup for the franchise. Making the right selections in the draft is critical towards reaching that goal.
